LINGERIE SHOPPING TIPS
Shopping for lingerie for your boudoir session can be overwhelming. There are so many options and styles to choose from, it can feel nearly impossible to start let alone find something you actually like. Here are a few tips on how to make lingerie shopping fun!
1 : Lock down the colors you like best and shop for those! Test out different tones and hues of those colors. Do you want to be bold and bright or are you going for a more neutral look with some earth tones? If you have an outfit change in your package, maybe try both for some variety or stick with a general vibe. Neutrals are always safe, and agreeing with everyones complexion.
2 : Incorporate a few different textures - lace, velvet, mesh, leather -- the list goes on and on. Different textiles bring different vibes, so do your best to mix it up! Find what material makes you feel empowered and divine. Maybe try a bold pattern, we love to see it! I suggest sticking to only one pattern, so you remain the focal point of your session.
3 : Overbuy with the intention of returning; if not worn [please check the return policy before buying]! The more options you have, the more at ease you will feel about your session! & remember, the client closet is available to supplement your outfit choices!
4 : Shop EARLY! There is nothing worse than your session quickly approaching and your outfits haven't been delivered yet/you haven't found something you just absolutely love! Avoid all the stress by shopping early and being prepared! As soon as you book your session, start searching. Get an idea on style, material, and vibe and try on as much as you can. This gives you time to search high and low if necessary, to ensure you have something bomb to wear on shoot day.
5 : Shop for confidence. I want you to feel your best in what you are wearing. I envision your slipping into your lingerie, and this sense of strength and power floods your body. Before we even take one single photo, you are feeling on top of the world. Search for that piece that you feel comfortable, confident, and unstop-able in.
